Funeral services for Jesse E. White, 89, of Piper City were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 1970, at the Culkin Memorial home in Chatsworth with the Rev. D.H. Blakeney officiating. Burial was in the Chatsworth cemetery. He died at 8:05 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in Fairbury hospital. He had been ill several months. He was born at Marrowbone, Ky., Feb. 14, 1880, a son of James E. and Mary E. Anderson White. He farmed in the Chatsworth area until retiring and moving to Piper City 20 years ago. He married Willie Maxine Huff at Marrowbone, Ky., Dec. 29, 1905. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Dulva Lee Brown, Fairbury, a brother, Finis White, Bowling Green, Ky., two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Anderson, Marrowbone,Ky., four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A daughter, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Chatsworth.
