Zelottie wife of Theophilus Spurrier dau of Nancy White of Scott Co VA
Zelottie, the wife of Theophilus Spurrier, was the daughter of Nancy White who was a daughter of Nelson White and Abigail Davidson. I have found no information as to the father of Zelottie.
Zelathe/Zelothe (with no surname given) was named as a granddaughter of Nelson White in his 29 March 1841 Scott Co, Va will and probated 29 March 1841(DB2:279-80). Nelson left her furniture, clothes, a cow and a calf and a horse, saddle, and bridle to be delivered to her when she reached the age of 18. The will does not identity her mother as living or deceased but the following deed transaction identifies her mother as Nancy White. Unfortunately Nelson's will did not identify all his children by name but subsequent deeds relative to his estate identify all the children except for Nancy.

Abraham B McConnell executor of George McConnell decd – and Theophilus Spurier and Zelotte his wife to Benjamin Shoemaker – re: land left for benefit of Elizabeth White the idiot daughter of Nelson White decd – Zelotte Spurrier has interest in the property as an heir of Nancy White decd who was an heir of Nelson White. (SC DB10:297-8, abstracted by Sue Elfving).
Nelson's will provided for the care of his daughter Elizabeth during her lifetime. There is a Scott Co chancery case: Joseph White v Campbell White, Exr regarding the support of Elizabeth that has been digitized by the Library of Virginia (see Chancery Record Index).
Abigail Davi(d)son was the d/o of Joseph Davison (d 1826) and his wife Mary Edwards. Abigail White is named in her father Joseph's Scott Co VA will and Nelson and Abigail are found as grantors in Scott Co deeds.
Joseph Davison is a son of James Davison I (d 1794). Joseph Davison's wife was Mary Edwards, the d/o of David Edwards. Mary Davidson gave a deposition in 1810 in the big suit of Mahan v Fugate (see Chalkley's Augusta Chronicles and also the Lib of Virginia Chancery Index)wherein Mary is identified as the sister to the wife of Jesse Cain and Jesse Cain is further identified as the son-in-law of David Edwards in David's will in Washington Co VA. So Abigail's lineage is well documented.
Hope this helps Zelottie's researchers.
