Hey Katie! My dad's telling me right now that my great-grandfather came from Cheshire County near Blackpool, England. Oh my dad's going to look up how close Cheshire County and Stoke on Trent River are... wow! They're only (approximately, I don't have a ruler with me to measure on the map) 80k's (50mi) apart - maybe we really ARE relatives! Oh he says my great-grandfather's name is George Whitehurst, no middle name, but we aren't sure of his wife's name because my dad never knew her, but we do know she's buried in Oceanview Cemetery in Burnaby on Imperial Street. However I was just on a search site for BC cemeteries and couldn't find either my great-grandfather or great-grandmother; although I DID find a "George J. Whitehurst" in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver, which made my dad start to wonder and he says he has no clue and that he'll "have to ask his mom about it". So, we may have found my great-grandfather! (Considering there is no record of an Oceanview Cemetery anywhere on the net?? weird). Well I'll get back to you asap; try to ask around about George Whitehursts ;) I know that the boys are always named George in the family (except, well I don't have a brother so it stopped with my dad; but I don't know how far "George" goes back.) Hope to hear from you soon and thanks again!
