I show that Wm Pinckney Whitlow was b. 2 Mar 1846 in Cobb Co., GA and married Margaret Mosley. I have a copy of his death certificate in front of me now which validates his birth date and shows his parents to be Wm Whitlow and Peggy Wallace.
Wm P. Whitlow was a Baptist minister and the Baptist Ministerial Directory of Georgia shows: "Whitlow, William Pinckney, Seney, Georgia. Born Cobb County, Georgia 2 March 1846;licensed February 1875, New Georgia Church. Ordained June 1883, Mountainview Church, GA; Pastor, Fairmount,GA 83-92; Mountainview '84; Bethlehem, Poplar Springs, Fellowship, Felton, New Prospect, Seney, Pleasant Hope, Oakgrove, New Harmony, Flint Hill, Shady Grove (Alabama.)"
The 1840 Cobb Co., GA census shows Wm Whitlow HH w/ : 1 male 20-30 (Wm Whitlow) , 2 females under 5, 1 female 20-30 (Peggy Wallace.) One of the 2 females is a dau. Sarah A. Whitlow b. 28 Nov 1837 Cobb Co., GA and married Simpson Sinyard 28 Dec 1858 Paulding Co., GA. He was b. 6 Oct 1826 Hall Co., GA, son of Henry Sinyard. The other female must have died before 1850. Another dau. b. Jul 1844 Cobb Co., GA was Mary Francis Whitlow (d. 1909 Erath Co., TX) married Rev. James Judson Harris b. Aug 1847 SC.
I show that Margaret Mosley, wife of Rev. Wm P. Whitlow, was b. 2 Mar 1846 Cobb Co., GA and d. 23 Feb 1925 Polk Co., GA. Both Margaret Mosley and Rev. Wm P. Whitlow are bur. at New Harmony Baptist Church, Polk Co., GA.
Wm P. Whitlow's father, Wm (Charles?) Whitlow was b.c. 1811-15 in VA (Campbell Co.?) and d. bef. 1850 in Cobb Co., GA.
The Campbell Co., VA is speculation on my part .... the actual death certificate shows VA or Ireland ... knowing that ALL of the GA Whitlows are from VA, I would wager that Wm C. Whitlow, father of Wm Pinckney Whitlow, was from VA.
