Capt Joseph Wickwire was indeed active in the Revolution. He had 10 children - 5 girls. His second girl was named Sarah, but she was born in 1760. His sons were Joseph Jr, Chapel, Roswell, Reuben, and Rufus. Chapel's line eventually produced a Sarah, but she was born May 12, 1871 in Iowa. There are about a dozen Sarah Wickwire s, but none of them fit yours. There was one Cyrus Wickwire. He was in my line. But he got married in Illinois in 1852 and spent his life in Mich and Ohio. He had 4 daughters, but not a Sarah. I don't think he was ever near VT.Who did your Sarah Wickwire marry? You should be aware that the original spelling was Wickware, but half of us are Wickwire from a spelling mistake in 1712. I looked under both spellings and did not find yours. I also found no reference of a Urania Myrick. What do you know about your Sarah and what are you guessing at?The real keeper of the updated family records is Rick Wickwire. He has been off-line for several months. He lived in Louisiana. We are all hoping he gets back on line soon. He knows a lot more than I.
