I just ran across this post. I've been trying to figure out this Wiggin family in Fayette for awhile, but there seems to be scant information.
From bits and pieces I've picked up along the way, I believe that Nicholas Wiggins wife's surname was Bolan / Bullen / Bullin - first name unknown.
I'm descended from a Mary Wiggin (b. abt. 1780), the wife of James Baldwin Atkinson of Winthrop, Maine, who I believe is a daughter of Nicholas (b. 1742) and (?) Bullen.
There was a Bullen family in Woolwich, Maine circa 1780 who I believe may have come from Charlestown, Mass. (I have that name in another family line. Mary Bullen (b. 1761, Charlestown) a likely daughter of Nathan (b. 4-10-1737) and Mary (Hutchinson) (b. 4-12-1737) Bullen). Mary Bullen married Ebenezer Brookings II in Woolwich on 5-16-1757. She named her first born son Nathan.
Anyway, there is a possibility that Nicholas Wiggins' wife may have been a sister to Nathan Bullen. It's just speculation on my part, but definately worth investigating given the proximity of Woolwich and Winthrop via the Kennebec River.
