Dear Judy I don't have any way of knowing if there is a connection yet to our WIGGINS' but I had a thought about yours. You say your James D WIGGINS was born 1823 and died by 1850.This would make him 27 at death or so. Leads me believe that Elizabeth his wife could have remarried. Have you checked the index to marriage records Brides in the Lowndes Wayne Missouri area? Also you said your gg grandfather was middle child, what were the other childrens names and maybe they could be clues to namesakes carrying on the names? Like grandfather was named Charles or whatever, Did you search Elizabeth McCULLOCH's line for clues? I did find William WIGGINs was a Capt. that lead a wagon train to California...but just the mention of it in the Oregon Trail information. There was a William WIGGINS that came with missionaries DUTTON. Just don't know how or if any connect. One more thing, did yours own land in Wayne County Missouri? Could be clues there. Good luck!
