I am assuming that George b. 17 Jan 1762 in SC and served in the RW is the brother of Martin.I have only skimmed George's pension as the writing needs long periods of time to translate into a written report.
It appears that George had lived in many places after the RW.A few names I caught were Pickens Co. AL, Madison Co. AL, and St. Clair Co. AL.I believe that he was in St. Clair Co. receiving his pension when he and his sons moved to Monroe Co. MS in the early 1840's and where he ended up dying.
I would like to know if he had a granddaughter named Malinda born 25 Dec 1821 in AL who married James W. Plunkett.I have found them on the 1860, 1870, 1880 Itawamba Co. MS censuses. They named their first child--GEORGE.
Would like to know where in ca 1849 James and Malinda married.Where are they on the 1850 census? And, who are their parents?I am a Plunkett researcher, but we are trying to identify this James Plunkett. My Plunketts begin in 1821 in St. Clair Co. AL and appear to have ties to the Wiggington family living in that county.
