That's the problem I'm having. Not sure if Hider is actually Nancy and Peggy's biological father or not."A. H. Watson" is more than likely "Adam Hider/Hydra/Hiden Watson born 1797 in North Carolina.I believe he may be the son of Adam Hyden? Watson and Catherine Hughes. No Watson DNA participation from this line (that I can find) so there is no way to be sure.
Nancy states in each of the census that her father was born in NC, and Hydra states in his Will that he leaves something to "...daughter's he had with Parthena Carter" and he names both Nancy and Peggy. And I quoted that, he calls her Parthena Carter, not Parthena Watson. He specifically names his ex? wife, daughter Catherine Bradberry (married in Habersham to James Bradberry and appears living close to her father's household in the 1850 census) and son's from his previous marriage, too. That's what led me to believe that he is A. H. Watson from Habersham County, GA.That and A. H. Watson disappears from Habersham after the 1840 census then shows up in the 1850 census in Cass County. Some Watson researchers at this point assume he is dead.I think he started a new family and moved.
I'm going to sent you a copy via email, it's not online.I'm sorry about my email address being hidden, I didn't know and I think I've fixed that.If not, You can email me at lowens1975 at yahoo.com anytime. I am interested in the photo of Nancy and her children.
