I didn't recognize any of the names you have listed in your posts. My Wilcox (Wilcockson) family came from England to PA, not so far up North as your family. In Northwestern NC where some of my family settled there are two Wilcox lines and we have not found a connection yet. I have contacted distant Wilcockson cousins who moved from PA to AZ. They maintani the long spelling of the surname.
I have been trying to convince cousins with the Wilcox surname to get their DNA tested but no success yet.
Tracing lineage in Northwestern NC is a challenge. County boundaries were not finalized till the early 1800s. What is present Ashe Co, Where my Wilcox family is from, was part of Wilkes, Rowan, Iredell, Davie at one time. Compounding the problem is this area was rural and isolated. Courthouse records are sparce and most of the courthouses burned around 1865. Some fires were accidental and others courtesy of the invading Union army commanded by Gen. Stoneman.
