Thank you for your reply to my question about the Wilderson origin.At about the same time, I received another reply that stated that Wilderson/Wildisin/Wildasin surnames have been found in PA and were Pennsylvania Dutch people, originally from Germany.As I mentioned to this replier, the "son" at the end of my Wilderson, caused me to think of a Scandinavian or even English ancestry.However, my Wilderson ancestors married German wives: Hoffman and Barnhisel surnames. As we genealogists know, the Germans tended to group closely together and intermarried more than most ethnic groups when they settled in North America.So, now I feel more confident that my Wildersons were from Germany, thanks to these two answers.
