Your great-grandfather Burton Elmer and my great-grandfather William Lyman were brothers! My mom remembers "Uncle Burt and Aunt Kate" coming to visit when she was a very little girl. My mom was raised in northern Minnesota in the Warren/Radium township area.
Burton's parents were Lyman Palmer Wildes and Isabella Letticia/Lattisha Robertson (not Martha). Research found on the LDS website at familysearch.org shows that Lyman was born on 3 Aug 1839 in West Bath, Sagadahoc, Maine. I found the following info as well but, unfortunately, I do need to relocate the source: "Lyman enlisted in the 3rd Reg'tl, Maine Volunteers, and served for three years. He was in both battles of Bull Run, and in the battles of Malvern Hill, Fredericksburg, Chancellorville, Gettysburg, and others. After the war he came to Lake Washington, Minnesota where he was a farmer and carpenter for the rest of his life."
Isabella Letticia/Lattisha Robertson was born 8 Nov 1852 in Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana and died of a stroke on 31 Jan 1931 in Mankato, Blue Earth, Minnesota.
My mom just gave me the following info over the phone. I will need to verify spelling but this should at least get you started for now. Lyman P. Wildes and Isabella L. Robertson had the following children (not in birth order):
1. William Lyman Wildes married Florence Lavonia Vernon 2. Lyman Palmer Wildes married Freda Scholtz. After her death, he married Frances Schulre. 3. Warren Fred Wildes married Margaret Mills. 4. Frank Henry Wildes married Eleanor L. Dunlevy. 5. Claude Robertson Wildes married Isis Mandigo 6. Burton Elmer Wildes married Katherine Pettijohn 7. Clellan Wildes 8. Scott Wildes.
I would be happy to share information with you. Please feel free to reply or email me directly at Nowacki55@aol.com
Best regards, Valerie
