Yes this is the William. Your response was excellent. No I do not have marriage details. I have him as William Joseph Wilkin but I am not sure if William and Joseph may not be separate people.
A very old note said he was of good Scottish stock.
This is a wall in this paternal family line.
You mention Ernest Wilkin. I know Ernest personally, He and his sister Joy attended Church in the village with his father Ebeneezer along with my family. Ebeneezer's wife was Mills and I have a Mills connection there also.
Ernest told me that all the Wilkin families in the area were related. Therefore we are cousins. My brother still farms locally. As I had never been aware of multiple Wilkin families in my experience there, the obvious juncture would be the generation after William above. I have assumed this link and that is why The earlier Ebeneezer has this Wm. as a parent. A grey area.
A trawl in the 1901 census for the next county, Cavan, produces no Wilkin names therefore this family is quite localised. The Church yard at Drumswords was supposed to be a burial ground but I found nothing. I have to source the written records yet.
