MRS. ANTJE WILLIAMS JUNE 4, 1925
Mrs. Antje Williams, an honored resident of this community for 57 years, passed away at her home in Chatsworth at 5:30 Wednesday ( June 3) afternoon, June 3, 1925, at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 17 days. Her last illness was of two weeks duration. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, first at the home, then in the Evangelical church at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Williams has been a faithful member of the Evangelical church for nearly 50 years and her pastor, Rev. C.J. Krell, will officiate, assisted by Rev. S.W. Moehl, of Joliet. Interment will be made in Chatsworth cemetery. Antje H. Flessner was born January 17, 1845, at Ludwigadorf, Ostfriesland, Germany. She was married to William M. Williams March 23, 1871. Her husband preceded her in death May 2, 1906, since which time she has lived in her late residence. She had resides in this community since April 15, 1868. One daughter died in 1878, at the age of four years. The names of her surviving children are: Mrs. John H. Bruns, Longford, Kansas; H.M. Williams, Chatsworth; Mrs. August Wrede, Roberts; Mrs. Fred E. Bork, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Matie, at home; Mrs. Albert Grosenbach, Melvin. The surviving sisters and brother are: Mrs. Gertie Klover, Chatsworth; Mrs. A.B. Saathoff, Wymore, Neb.; Mrs. Chris Wallrichs, Denver, Colo.; Gerd Flessner, Stillwater, Okla. Fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren complete the immediate family circle. These, with a host of friends and neighbors, view her departure with sadness and will long cherish the memory of the person and character of Mrs. Williams.
