I am assuming that Senator was his first name - as we also have a President Willhite in the line.A Sentator (misspelled on 1880 census) is listed with his parents in Richland County, Illinois on the 1880 census.Their names were Nathaniel Willhite and hers was Matilda ?It reads:Willhite, Nathaniel, 33, b. IL; Matilda, 27, b. PA, James M. (Madison?), 10, b. IL; Anzelia, 8, b. IL; Charles N., 5, b. IL; and Sentator (sp?) M., 1, b. IL.You will need to research Richland County as there were Willhites in the county very early. President was in Champaign County, IL by 1900 working as a servant for Chester W. Little, ED 21, Sheet 20, line 20, in Rantoul Township. Also in the county was Madison, probably the James M., above, also in Rantoul Township, ED 21, sheet 15, ln 87.He had married in Richland County just a couple of years earlier to Mary M. Arnold and moved up to Champaign County. The Charles N. who was 5 in 1880 is now 25, also living in Champaign Co., Condit Twp., with his wife Louisa and sons Ernest C.He and Louisa Scherer had married in Richland County in 1898 so they were recent arrivals as well. They have in their household his brother John C., age 10, but neither Nathaniel or Matilda are in evidence on the 1900 soundex.
