Hi to my relatives! I'm Lambert Monroe Willmirth, 88years old, living in California. My father was Orla A. Willmirth - one of the seven children of Frank M. Willmirth and Mary Pierson.(I've got a great picture of them, by the way).My father married Dona Mae Sanders (also from Keysport). They were living in Jacksonville, Ill. when I was born and my father was working for Chicago Burlington and Quincy Railroad. They then moved out west to Tacoma, Wash. while I was just a baby.Apparently my aunt Vesta's husband recommended to my father to come out there. In 1922 my parents then moved to San Luis Obispo and my father continued working for the Southern Pacific. He was a railroad man all his life as he distained all the horse-plowing he had to do as a young man on his parent's farm.Pa retired in 1967.He and Ma lived to 89 and 90 years of age. I was an only child and also took up railroading.I retired in 1974.I married, but have no children.I have been back to Keysport only once (when I was 5 years old) to attend the funeral of Grandpa Sanders (on my Ma's side). We visited the Willmirth grandparents too while we were back there. My Uncle Louis was still living at home with (his parents) Frank & Mary.I remember Louis because he took me down to buy some rubber boots so I could walk around the farmyard and not ruin my nice shoes. It was interesting to me to find out who my great grandparent's were - Frank Willmirth's parents. And the information about Mary Pierson...Ha! Thanks! PSAren't these computers great?!
