On 7 April, 1784 in Windsor, VT he married Ruth Knight. He moved his family to Sardinia, Erie County, NY in 1811. He was accompanied there by Benjamin and John Wilson, the sons of his deceased brother John.Benjamin later married Jacob's daughter Lydia.

Jacob and Ruth had 6 children: Zadock, Hannah, Olive, Lydia, Lewis, and Ester.
I am not sure how all of this relates to Boston Corners, except to show that there were many Wilsons in the area at the time. There is a great deal of additional information in the book: Willson, Wilson, and Allied Lines by Clotilde Wilson Blower published in 1972 in Dunedin, FL.However, I do not know where the book may be found.
