Go to LDS site www.familysearch.org - do a parent search and enter John Wimsett for the father and just Mary for the mother. You cannot enter any other data in the form. Press search and you will get various sources - look at the Pedigree Resource File hits - Sylvester is listed several times. Click on his name and scroll down to see the mailing address of the submitter. There are several different submitters amongst the hits. I think your only choice is to write them each a letter and ask them what, if any, their sources are. Also, Raphael fought in Revolutionary War for Maryland Line. At least one woman has traced back to him to get her DAR. If you are really lucky her last three people would be Sylvester, John, and Raphael. Try to find this DAR application on Internet. If you cannot, please email me - also email me if you have any other questions. Susannah, Raphael's wife, applied for Rev War pension several times, the last time one of her sons or grandsons was helping her - I know I have read this somewhere, but can't remember.
Do parent search with Raphael Wimsett and Susannah for mother. Again you will get several hits for John in Pedigree Resource File - find submitters and write them letters.
