I have been in contact for the past year with at least two of the leading Winebrenner researchers in the U.S. and both agree that there is no evidence that Hannah, the wife of Morris Winebrenner, was a Humbertson, only hearsay from the guess of someone in the past.
The circumstantial evidence I have is much more convincing that she wasn't a Humbertson, but a Musgrove from South Carolina. Not only does the 1850 Federal census record her as having been born in South Carolina ca. 1775, but there were two Winebrenners who showed up in the Musgrove family in South Carolina a few years later; and there is no record of any Winebrenner in this state other than those two, meaning no Winebrenner here to have been their father.
