HARRIETT ANN WINEGARDNER
This obituary was found in a very old family bible relating to Shaw's and Fletcher's. No date on the newspaper, just a clipping. Perhaps someone is in need of it so I posted it here.
The death of Harriett Winegardner,widow of John Summerhayes occured at the residence of her daughter, Mrs, David Edwards, Mount Pleasant, yesterday afternoon in her 86th year, following a lengthy illness. Born in Ontario, Mrs. Summerhayes had been a resident of Brantford and district for the past 65 years. She attended the United Church and was a member of the Lady Orange Benevolent Association. Her husband predeceased her 14 years ago. Left to mourn her loss are four sons, James, Toronto, and Albert, Samuel and Harry all of this city, and a daughter, Mrs. Edwards, Mount Pleasant; two brothers, James Winegardner, Brantford, and Louis Winegardner, Brantford, and two sisters, Mrs. John Coy, Montana, and Mrs. Robert Fowler, Brantford also survive.
The funeral will be conducted Monday from the residence of her son, Samuel Summerhayes, 71 Gilkinson Street, to Farringdon cemetery, where interment will be made.
