Is there anyone who can give me documented proof (or something close to it) regarding the following people who lived in Adair Co KY?
Here is what I have and I would like to know if it is correct or not. Any corrections or thoughts appreciated!
Phillip Winfrey, born in Powhattan Co VA, married Martha Northcutt. They had several children but need to know if these 2 are theirs:
Elisha T (could middle name be Thomas?) Winfrey, born ca 1792 in KY or VA. Married Sarah "Sally" Drake, d/o Joel Drake and Amey Hall. Elisha died ca 1817 in Adair Co KY. How and exactly when did he die? Sarah Drake Winfrey then married Matthew Busby in 1821 Adair Co.
Is Sims Alden (or is it Aden?) Winfrey, b ca 1795, Elisha T's brother? I believe Sims to also be the s/o Phillip Winfrey and Martha Northcutt. Sims married Margaret Neat/Neet and I believe he named a son Elisha Thomas Winfrey, b ca 1828, in honor of his brother, Elisha T.
Believe the above Margaret Neat/Neet had a sister named Mary Neat/Neet who married James Boyer/Bowyer.
Trying to find a connection between any of the above people and a James Fitzpatrick, born ca 1825 and who died before 1851, probably in Adair Co KY.
Don't see how this James Fitzpatrick could be the same James Fitzpatrick who married Parthenia Boyer (parents were the above James Boyer and Mary Neat/Neet) since Parthenia Fitzpatricks's husband died between 1870 & 1880.
The James Fitzpatrick I seek was probably born ca 1820-1825. He married Pamelia or Permelia Busby, d/o Matthew, between 1840 and 1850. He is listed as receiving property from Matthew Busby in Matthew's Will of 1846. She is shown as Pamelia Fitzpatrick, a widow, on the 1850 census.
All of these people are connected in round-about-ways to my GGG gfather, Matthew Busby.
