JOHN S. WINGARD Josh S. Wingard, 75, 614 Dupage St., died at 8:05 a.m. today at the Beverly Shores Rest Home after an illness of one year. He was born April 5, 1880, in Spring Mills, Pa., the son of the late Jacob and Rebecca Becktol Wingard and was a retired watchman. He was married here in 1916 to Selma Matson who died in 1954. Surviving are three sons--DeWayne, Carl and James, all of this city; one daughter, Mrs. James Krueger, Orange, Calif.; two step-daughters--Mrs. Leah Vernier, this city; two step sons--Wilbur Johnson, Grand Beach, and Mylo Johnson, this city; 21 grandchildren; two sisters--Mrs. Henry Ashoff, St. Joseph, Mich.; and a brother, Milton Wingard, Sodus, Mich. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran church. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hummer White Mortuary. The Rev. William Ufkes will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Griends may call at the mortuary Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday until the hour of the service.
