Thank you for sending the info on to your sister Donna.I do hope she has more info on the Winham's of NH...love being there and imagining what life was like at that time.
I am also a history buff....the genealogy makes the story of the towns come to life, but I love seeing the migration patterns of many families from towns go on to another town and establish themselves there. For instance, in 1850's in Lyme CT ...why did the Winham's forge through to Marlow, NH along with other families from Lyme ???Love that side of genealogy the best.
Is your Charles Arthur Winham, b. 5 Nov 1891, d. July 1962 m. to Annie possibly the son of Charles Winham, b. 3 Mar 1871, Marlow, NH m. Nora M. Flagg???If so, his sister, Alice L. Winham, b. Marlow, NH is my great grand mother.
I live in Wallingford, CT and go "home" to Keene, NH to visit with my father and stepmom usually once a month.Dad and I go to Walpole to visit family on my mother's side, recently they have deceased so our visits are just to see the country side or visit old places. My father lives a stone's throw from Surry Dam, which my husband and I take our children to the beach side to swim now.I grew up in Keene, NH and surrounding towns. We also track things down in Westminster, VT, Bellows Falls, VT to Brockaway Falls where our Peck side is from.I am a Yankee by birth, transplanted to the south at 19 and came back "home" to New England to marry and raise my children.
Thanks again for your help with the Winham's.Are you in Mass?
