The following is from the obituary in the Ashland Press in 1882:
"At her home near Jeromesville, Ashland Co., Ohio, Feb. 17, 1882 Mary M. Winbigler was born at Harpers Ferry, VA, June 20, 1793.When seven years old her parents moved to Frederick Co., MD, living there seven years, then going to Huntington Co., PA near McConnelston one year.Then to Bedford Co., near the town of Dedford (Bedford?) living there about 10 years.The family going west to Wayne Co., now Ashland County in 1819.She married John Winbigler in December 1822.10 grandchildren - 5 sons, 4 daughters living.38 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.Her husband preceding her to the grave 34 years.Her grandfather John Moudy was circuit judge in Maryland eleven years.A large well-built man as also was her father, who received a large land estate bequethed to him.But by bailing a friend, engaged in mercantile business in Baltimore lost all he had.He was compelled to go to the woods to clear a home.She leaves 5 sisters living.Was the first immersed member of the Church of Christ in Jeromesville, 52 years ago, by John Secrist.She has ever lived a consistent christian life, trusting God and his promises."
You should be able to track down her parents through her grandfather or in the other towns they lived in.I have been meaning to start some Maryland research on WINBIBLERS, NAYLORS, and FORD families but haven't anything to report as yet.Best of luck and let me know if you find anything.Denise
