I left Youngstown, Ohio (my home) for college attending colleges in Chicago, Oskaloosa, Iowa and Indiana University. I taught at Bethel College, Indiana from 1955 to a967. From 1958 to 1967 I taught music at Olivet Nazarene College, now University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. In 1967 we moved from Illinois to Canton, Ohio where I taught music and chaired the Fine Arts Department from 1967-1982. In 1982 I became Dean of Adult Learning. I retired from full-time in 2000 but continued part-time until 2003. From 2001-2004 I was an International Trustee with Kiwanis International. My wife, Dorothy and our youngest son David spent one year in Hong Kong. I was an exchange professor, my wife managed the English Department at Hong Kong Baptist College (University). Our son was a student. Deborah our oldest child married Ron Robinson. They have three children. She is director of Alumni Affairs at Malone College. Her husband is Executive Past at Canton First Friends Church. Don, Jr. our middle child is marred to Charlann Robinson (Ron's sister). Don is a Friends pastor in Corona, California. They have four children. Charlann is a kindergarten teacher. David is a partner with Willke, Farr and Galagher Law Firm and works in Washington D.C.
