Carlton Lee Wirth
MILTON - Carlton Lee "Brownie" Wirth, 82, of Columbia Avenue went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at his home.
He was born March 30, 1921, in the Mifflinburg area, a son of the late Charles H. and Dora V. (Ulrich) Wirth. On March 10, 1945, he married N. Kathryn Cameron, who preceded him in death in 2000. They were married for 55 years.
Mr. Wirth retired from Montgomery Mills, Montgomery, last working around 1980, and before that, he worked for Claster's of Milton and also Chef Boy-Ar-Dee. After retirement, he worked part-time for Burns security agency.
He attended Mifflinburg schools.
Mr. Wirth was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church for 49 years.
He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Virginia Wirth of Watsontown; two grandsons, Matthew and his wife Wendy Wirth of Watsontown and William Wirth of Watsontown; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Krista and Cameron Wirth of Watsontown; and two sisters, Mariam Zimmerman of Watsontown and Edna and her husband Mervin Aikey of Mifflinburg.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Ann Wirth, in 1996; one brother, Kenneth Wirth; and two sisters, Nellie Aikey and Ernestine Wirth.
Friends and family may call from 10 to noon Saturday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market St., Milton, where the funeral will follow at noon with Kathy A. Leigey, minister of visitation, officiating.
Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.
