Connection to Wishart?

There were 4 Jacobite Wisharts imprisoned after 1745, 2 of whom were pardoned on condition thatthey enlisted in to the Army. The other 2 were jailed then freed.
The only white Wishart who was sold as a slave was Capt Ninian(? I am unsure now of his Christian name) Wishart, an officer in the Scots Army who was captured by Cromwell's troops after the battle of Dunbar (1650).He was sent to the West Indies and sold.He was bought by a Mr Brown (another Scot) and freed.
There are black Wisharts in the West Indies and I feel that the freed Wishart could have stayed on and got himself a plantation with slaves. On emancipatiopn, many took the name of their former owner.Who knows?
