Grandfather; Michael Wisler, a shoemaker by trade. Rev. War soldier, a native of Chester county, PA, married Sophia Harpel of Montgomery county.
Father; Lewis Wisler, born in Phila. Dec, 27, 1780. Died Sept. 25, 1852, buried in Laurel Hill cemetery. He married Anna Forrey who was born in West Hempfield, May 31, 1781 and died June 11, 1856. Anne (Forrey) was the d/o John and Eliz. (Bixler) Forrey, he a native of Lancaster, she a native of Switzerland.
Son; Henry Wisler married on Jan. 29, 1845 in Columbia to Sarah B. May, who was born in that city, March ll, 1826, a d/o Joseph and Patience (Hinkle) May, She died Dec. 5, 1854, they had 5 children, Anna, wife of Joseph H. Zeamer; Catharine who died at age 4 and 1/2; Mary who died at age 22; and Elizabeth and Sarah.
Henry Wisler married 2nd in West Hempfield township, on Nov. 25, 1858 to Matilda Hogentogler, by whom he had 4 children; Henry who married Anna Hinkle; Samuel; Emma B.; and Minnie A.
Matilda (Hogentogler) "Wisler was born Feb. 6, 1839, a d/o Jacob and Ann (Hogentogler) Hogentogler. Jacob died in 1865, aged 60, Anna died in 1893 aged 87. Buried at Laurel Hills cemetery. Members of the Reformed Church. Children of Jacob and Ann, (Mary who married Samuel Lockhard; John; Sarah; Joseph; Matila; Henry; Frank; Charlotte who married Edward "Billiet".Paternal grandparent of Matilda, John and Christiana Hogentogler of West Hempfield.
