Grandfather. John better know as Hans, served in the Rev. as a teamster. After the Rev. he lived on a rented farm in West Hempfield, he died in 1840 aged 80.
Father, Joseph Hinkle
Son, Harry M. Hinkle, of W. Hempfield born on Oct. 3. 1862, married Anna L. Wisler, who was born in Phila., and the d/o Samuel Wisler, a native of Columbia, and his wife Hannah Immel born at Kingsessing, Phila. Hannah died at Phila, 1892 aged 46. The father was born July 5, 1843, left Columbia about 1862 and settled in Phila. To Samuel and Hannah (Immel) Wisler were born; Anna L., wife of Harry M. Hinkle, Susie, the wife of William Crawford; Fanny who married Tom Tobin; Rachael; Samuel and Garfield.
Paternal grandparents, are Michael and Martha (Cressinger) Wisler. Maternal grandparents, Alexander and Hannah Immel.
David Hinkle, the uncle of Harry M., was born March 13, 1842, a son of Henry and Sarah (McGee) Hinkle, who came to Columbia in 1839. Henry died in 1872 aged 74 and Sarah died in 1866, aged 61, they were both members of the Lutheran church; Their children were. John; Rebecca, wife a Christian Hershey, Isaac of Wrightsville; Joseph; William; Charles; Catharine the wife of William Hardy and David.
