It does help a bit and states where the different family members came to the United States.
I keep running into problems linking my great-grandfather to his father.I know that Henry Faye is a great somewhere in the line, but cannot find my great-grandfather to be able to make the connection when I do the searches. If you run across Roy Wolfersperger who was supposed to have been born in Minneapolis, Kansas I would be so very much greatful. From the stories that I have been told, his middle name was supposed to have been Durflinger. This may or may not be more than just one of those stories that families tell though. He married Rose Marie but the other difficulty in tracking them is that she was adopted, and always told stories about her given name being Dunham before she was adopted. With that little of information, it has been extremely difficult.
I have found Henry Faye, John Henry (b. 1877), Lydia Gertrude, Margaret Matilda, Daniel Anderson, and Ella Mae listed in Minneapolis. So far, I have not been able to locate Roy.The date issue that I had talked about was with the different John Henry's and found it when I pulled out the paperwork and looked. My grandfather, John Henry, was born June 19, 1918.
None the less, I am so glad to have found others who are out there trying to find out about the family as well! My mother was given several things when Margy (Margie) passed away, and I have asked her for at least a copy.I am told that there was a link that was found by someone from Texas, and I am very interested in learning about it!
I will let you know what I find with that information too. Thanks so much for your help and I will continue to look through what I have here as well.
