Hi Carmela,
Sorry I didn't access this site for a long while. I haven't had a chance to work on the geneology for a bit. I've got to figure a way to up date it as I put in more info. Since that posting, I've gotten additional information on the Ho's and even the province in China where your great grandparents came from. I'm not certain of a date, but I do have names.
The Wond's are actually a wonderful story in itself.
George Herman Wond, whom your dad remembers, adopted your grandmother, Luluhia. The beauty of it all was that because of it he passed on part of the Wond Estate.
Of course as your dad remembers, his brother Uncle Minor (your great grand uncle) consolidated it. He bought out our shares a long time ago.
However Uncle Minor's daughter Patty Wond Little lives here in Benicia where I live and is the administrator of the entire estate.
We've lived here for over 33 years. She lived her for about 9 - 10 years before we got to meet.
The wonderful thing is that even though Patty and I are not related by blood (remember the Wond's adopted your grandmother) she treats me like a real cousin.
A week doesn't go by when she doesn't call to find out how I am doing. And we quite frequently are at each other's home for meals.
She's become very active in our parish.
Carmela it's best to contact me by using my e-mail address.
We must stay in contact...after all you're getting...on no wait. That's ME who is getting older.
Love you.
Uncle Russ
