I am also descended from George Marble Wonson of Gloucester, Massachusetts. As a boy I remeber looking at handwritten notebooks of his personal expenses in the 1880s. My mother still has these. I believe he sold ballast to ships in Gloucester harbor. I have a question if anyone can answer, my grandfather was Paul Burnham MacDonald, son of Fraser MacDonald (of Nova Scotia) and Annie Blake of Gloucester. The Wonson connection must come from the Blake side but I don't know where. Frank and Annie had a grocery store on Washington Street in the 20s & 30s, right in front of the Joan of Arc statue, their store become my grandfathers electrical shop in the 1950s. Grandpa Paul moved to Hawaii in the early 60s with his 3 daughters Ann, Jean, and Lisa. He died there in 1973, 50 days before I was born, taking all of our family history in Gloucester with him. Can anyone fill in the blanks between George Marble Wonson and Paul Burnham MacDonald?
