I would like to suggest that when posting info to this forum that researchers state their sources or at least their reasons why they think the info they are posting is correct, ie - a preponderance of the evidence. Genealogy is a fun hobby, but it is also gathering and distributing factual information. I love doing genealogy and have been doing so for 20+ years. I have been guilty in the past of making statements that I did not have sources to back up, such as taking what someone else had told me and just accepting it as fact and then passing it along to others. I, for one, intend in the future to list my sources or give my reasons when posting info. There is far to much bad genealogy going on that just tends to confuse everyone. I am in search of my real ancestors not some mythology. Everyones cooperation in this would be very much appreciated.
