This is more on the land division of John Hall and Richard Woolfolk who was entitled to (by right of his wife Elizabeth?) to the moiety held by Thomas Hall, Jr. dec'd.

Division of land of John Hall Jr 1688
Upon petition of John Hall Jr it is ordered that the land given to him & Thos. Hall Jr dec'd by John Claxton & Deborah Myers/Mynn by their several devises situate and being on Severn River....it is ordered that the county surveyor make equal division of the sd lands according to quality and quanity & make report to next court so that all parties may be ascertained of their due portions. dated 18 Dec 1688.John Clayton, clerk of court.
This is to certify to his majesties Justices of Gloucester County Court that according to order the land is divided & wee both John Hall & Richard Woolfolk have made agreement of our parts to hold from all & every charge or law from hence forward.
Witness our hands given in Court 9 January 1688/89.

Thomas Hall Jr was the eldest son of Thomas & Margaret Claxton Hall - John Hall was their youngest son.See the will of Deborah Mynn.
Why this division of land was of such importance to the Thurston family so as to remain to the present day in their familypapers - ????
