Are you from Bham? I am.I have read Louise's autobiography. It was fascinating. She is buried at the Oak Hill Cem. in downtown Bham next to another madam named Maggy (forgot surname) and Maggy's son - I believe, who died in WWI. Her scrapbook is on microfilm at the Bham Public Library, the archives dept. It contains mostly newspaper clippings of the time - a lot of obits of people she knew. She also has some handwritten notes in the margins and some recipes as well! One was for a Gold Cake. She claimed to have known and courted John Wilkes Booth and supposedly he lived and communicated with her via letter after his supposed execution by US troops. Need more info?
