On the basis of what authority or research are you making the claim that the father of Edward Wooster of Derby was an Ebenezer Wooster born circa 1596?
I myself am not totally convinced that the usual theory that Edward's father was William Wooster (whose will was dated in 1623) is correct, but this Ebenezer theory is a new one on me and seems even less credible.
Fully realizing that I should take internet sources with a grain of salt, I 'Googled' and found a site at http://longislandgenealogy.com/Stellenwerf/gp143.htmhttp://longislandgenealogy.com/Stellenwerf/gp143.htm that gave Ebenezer as the father of Edward. My suspicion is aroused by such a site, because it is impossible for me to determine who had written the file or what was the source of the information. No references whatever are provided.
My doubts were heightened by the fact that Margaret Sawtell was given as Edward's mother. I realize there may be more than one Margaret Sawtell, but the Margaret Sawtell that I know of was the wife of Edward's youngest child, who just happened to be named Ebenezer.
