I do not know anything about James Walker Wright other than from the book "Pendleton District, S.C. Deeds 1790-1806".This are abtract of deeds. From deed book "B", page 326 "16 Jan 1794.Charles LAY to James Walker WRIGHT of Washington Dist., for 150 lb's stg. for 100 acres on the Little Estate.Signed: Charles (V) Lay.Wit: John COCHRAN, Frances BOREN.Frances Boran made oath to Bayley ANDERSON 7 Jul 1794.Rec: 15 Sep 1794
I think the "V" should have been "X" for signing with an X.This is the only mention of James Walker Wright.I was interested because many Rev. War soldiers settled in SC from NC after the war. Many then left SC to Lincoln CO., TN.I had ancestors who migrated from the Pendleton Dist of SC to Lincoln CO.,TN but I have not been able to put my Wright line in SC although one of who we belive to be the son of Solomon Wright had SC as the state he was born in on the 1850 Lincoln CO., TN census. My great grandfather James Wright and brother to Griffin Wright of SC was born in TN in 1816.Solomon Wright could have been their father.Solomon dropped off the census after 1840.Have not been able to find out anything about Solomon
I have been researching all Wright's in Middle TN.There was a Susan Lay of GA who was married to Pinkney Wright of NC in 1839 in TN.Pinkney and Susan lived in Lincoln CO., TN until she died.Pinkney remarried and lived in other Middle TN counties. Found no related to Pinkney Wright. There also were Lincoln CO., TN Wright's who migrated from KY to TN.
About the surname Freeman. There were many Freeman's in Lincoln CO., TNIf you are interested in any of them here is a link
