That is correct. His father was John H. Wrinkle (middle initial from Civil War records) who married Mary Ann Rains. They likely married in Bradley Co. TN, but the marriage records for that period do not survive. The 1880 census for the couple help tie the family together:

Extensive work on the descendants of Daniel Wrinkle of East Tennessee has allowed us to place John H. Wrinkle as being a grandson of Daniel Wrinkle through his son Jacob Wrinkle (born between 1802 and 1810, probably in Knox Co. TN, died [apparently] between 1840 and 1850, likely in Bradley Co. TN).
The burned records of Bradley have limited the material available as documentary evidence. However, the Daniel Wrinkle family was earlier in Roane Co. TN, so Jacob Wrinkle's 14 Dec 1825 marriage to Levicy Webb is recorded in that earlier county.
Daniel Wrinkle -- actually Daniel Buchanan Wrinkle -- was still in Knox Co. TN on 15 Jul 1801 when he married Polly Hess.He was born circa 1780 in VA and died circa 26 Apr 1858 in Bradley Co. TN.His dad George Wrinkle Sr. brought the family into Tennessee early enough (pre-statehood) to qualify him as a First Families of Tennessee ancestor.--Carl
