Hi all. I just discovered this site Jan 2 of the new Millenium. Yes it really starts this years 2001.
I will tell what I have found of my Family tree (I have some sideline info too but will stick with the main lineage. Most came from My Aunt Joan and I also got a little help from Peter who has also contributed here.
I am Ian Roger Whybrow. I live in Oakville, near Toronto, Canada. I was born in Harrow, Middlesex Sept 26, 1951 to Ronald Earnest Whybrow & Gwendoline Daisy Whybrow (ne: Norman). I had an older brother Alan who died before my birth and an older sister Shirley Ann who was born in 1945 and a younger adopted sister, Melanie Sue, born 1965.
Ronald, my dad, was born 1922/03/17 died 1986/05/24 He had 2 sister (both living)- Joan Beatrice born 1923/09/07 and Beryl Louise born 1929/10/07
Ernest Whybrow, my Grandfather, (don't have birth date) was one of 7 surviving children (13 births), married Violet Beatrice Layland
John Whybrow, my great Grandfather, was born 1861/05/04, married Louisa Mary Meadows 1886/06/13, died 1934/02/13, children in order of birth - Arthur George (killed in action 1916/09/15) (married to Daisy Sutcliffe, one daughter Winifred),John (married to Martha Cronshaw 1916, one child Edith married Herbert Cunliffe), Ellen (married Harry Watts, 2 children Harry & Elsie), Ernest (my grandfather), Harry (married Frances), Edith (married Benjamin Tipping, daughter Edith married Robert Philips), Kate (married Albert Biggs, sone Albert married Mary)
Emma Wybrow (Whybrow or Weybrow), my great great Grandmother, born about 1835-1836, passed her surname on to John (illegitimate or what?)
Robert Wybrew (or Weybrew) my great great great grandfather, born Stambourne 1812-1813, married Ann Nice 1833/11/22 and at the time of the 1851 census had five children, all born in Ridgewell, Emma age 15, Martha age 12, Sarah age 8, Elizabeth age 6 and Joh age 3.
There were also other Wybrew's on the census coming from Stambourne, may be Robert's father and brother George age 52 and John age 26.
If anyone can connect to this family, please let me know.
