I am trying to research the Wyche family of Texas, specifically the descendants of William Parham Wyche nb. 1795 in Sussex, VA who died in 1851 in Sabine Parrish, LA.His sons seem to have been in Texas pretty early on.I found Oscar Dunreath, (b. 1821 VA), Benjamin Jackson (b. 1823 VA) and Henry C. (b. 1826 TX?) and their descendants on census records in Sabine, Bexar, Leon,Comanche, Erath, Brazos and Robertson County, Texas.I have yet to find a living descendant of this line, but I noticed that there was a Robert Dunreah Wyche mentioned on this forum and sure sounds like there is a possible relationship between these Texas Wyche families.I have found that the parents of William P. Wyche were Benjamin Wyche and Elizabeth Mason, and per rootsweb postings that Benjamin's dad was also a Benjamin, son of a George Wyche, son of Henry b. 1647 England. Per rootsweb postings (all e-mail addresses connected to these seem invalid now, sigh), I noticed that William P. Wyche had a brother named Edmund b. 1804, another one named Benjain F. b. 1806 and another brother named John Mason b. 6/8/1811. I noticed you had a Hubert in your Wyche family also.Benjamin Jackson Jr. (son of BJ Wyche Sr. b. 1823) had a son whom he named Hubert Albert Wyche b. 12/1/7/1897 so I thought again these Texas Wyche families are probably connected somehow. Thanks for any help on Texas Wyche's anyone can give.I'm curious to know how the Benjamin Jackson Wyche of Univ of Texas Library (about 1897-1903) is related to this Wyche bunch also.On internet it says he was born in 1869 and died 1936.I think some have confused him with the Benjamin Jackson Wyche Jr.born 1861, but I have checked census records and these must be two different Ben. J. Wyches!
