We are researching our line of Stevens/Stevens and Baker Families which may assist you, and least we are hoping anyways!
There is a woman by the name of Abigail Baker, who was the d/o of Harrington Baker/Lydia Jeems.Abigail Baker was born circa l792, probably from our research, born in Cambridge, Washington Co, NY.
Abigail Baker married David Alfred Hall, he was born in Penfield, NY......and they married Nov 13, 1821, again probably in Penfield, then apart of Monroe Co, NY.
David and Abigail (Baker) Hall had a daughter by the name of Eleanor Caroline Hall who was born in NY l822 and she married Daniel Yake on Feb 4, 1843/Canada.Eleanor's mother who was Abigail Baker Hall died in Canada in l840.
Now, Eleanor Caroline (Hall) Yake, wife of Daniel Yake had children named: Oliver, Henry, Adaline, Albert Edward, Caroline and Lyman Yake.Eleanor and spouse Daniel Yake moved from Canada.....as we find Eleanor had died in Worth Twp, Sanilac Co, Michigan Nov 7, 1878.
We believe that Abigail Baker, listed above, is the d/o of Harrington (or Herrington) Baker and Lydia Jeems.Harrinton/Herrington Baker was the son of Elisha Baker and Sarah (Harrrington/Herrington} Baker who lived in Washington Co, Rhode Island.Harrington Baker and wife Lydia moved to Bennington, Vermont and then into Cambridge, Washington Co, NY and then into Penfield, Monroe Co, NY (previously known as Boyle, Ontario Co, NY) by l810. You will find Harrington Baker living nextdoor to my Allen R. Stevens/and wife/family in the l830 Census. Harrington Baker died in l835 in Penfield, NY and was in the Am Rev.
Curiously you see Abigail Baker Hall and spouse David Alfred Hall leaving NY for the area of Uxbridge, Canada (near Toronto) post l835 and she died in that area in l840.
We believe that Harrington Baker was the sibling to an Elizabeth Baker who married a Daniel Chase..these are my ancestors....through their daughter Sarah Chase who married Allen R. Stevens who, by the way who also lived in both Cambridge, Washington Co, NY and Penfield, Monroe Co, NY and who left Penfield, NY post l835 to Pickering Ontario as listed on the York Directory of l837......Pickering is near Uxbridge and by l839 Allen R Stevens/Family left Canada for what was later known as Worth Twp, Sanilac County, Michigan......so you see my curiosity involving the Yakes/Baker lines as well.
If this all comes together correctly, then my Sarah Chase Stevens b.1783/NY (a twin) would be the 1st cousin to Abigail Baker who was the wife of David Alfred Hall...who were parents to Eleanor Caroline (Hall) Yake.
David Alfred Hall married a second time, after his first wife Abigail Baker died l840, he married Abigail Hilborn-who was born in Uxbridge, Canada May 1815 - they married April 12, 1847 and Abigail Hilborn Hall died in Uxbridge Canada May 2, 1905.
