John Negley Yarnall PA - late 19th c.

By genealogy.com user December 28, 1999 at 10:37:32

I am not strictly speaking a Yarnall/Yarnell, as my mother's mother's mother, Maud Dickson, was first married to my great-grandfather Frank Connelly, with whom she had 3 daughters:Margaret (d. prob. about 1910 age approx. 20); my grandmother Kathryn Downing Connelly 1888-1971 m. Ralph Waid, and Henrietta (d. about age 4 of scarlet fever, 1890s).

Maud Dickson's SECOND husband was named, I believe, John Negley Yarnall, they lived in Pittsburgh or environs, and I believe Maud survived into the 1940s.Their only child was also named John Yarnall; he taught at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, lived in Cabin John, Maryland in his retirement, and died I believe only sometime in the 1980s.His ex-wife, Nancy, was living as of a few years ago in Chambersburg, PA and they had children Jonathan, Vanessa, and Cecily (sp.?) born in the 1940s and early 1950s.

Any Yarnalls out there who might provide info esp. re Maud Dickson whose 2d husband was John Negley Yarnall?

Thanks and best wishes.
