Passed away at the age of 102, on August 3, 2007. He remained physically active and mentally alert until the end, joining his friends at the Renton (WA) Southcenter Mall several times a week to walk and socialize.
Born December 18, 1904 in Portland, OR, his family moved to the Seattle area in 1916. He began with Boeing as a riveter in 1925. A self-made man, his career and reputation grew with the company. He retired 40 years later as a Manager in Quality Control and held the distinction of being the oldest member of the Boeing Mgmt. Assoc. for many years. Known as a fair, honest man, he was loved and respected by all who worked for him as well as by those of us who knew him as father, husband, brother or friend.
He is survived by his son, FRED A YEARIAN. He was preceded in death by his parents, ABRAHAM L. YEARIAN and MARY (McMILLAN) YEARIAN; his beloved wife of over 70 years, LOUISE (ZIEBELL) YEARIAN; and brother, WILLIAM YEARIAN.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 7, 4:00 p.m., and the funeral service Wednesdy, August 8, at 1 p.m. at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 713 Cengral Ave N, Kent (WA) (253) 852-2620.
