Bill,I have also experienced the Yearwood/Earwood confusion.I still remember my 5th grade teacher calling me Earwood and I would always correct her. It's YEARWOOD!My ggg-grandfather was Frederick, a brother to your William. My line is something like this:Charles Edward 7, John Edward 6, William R. 5, Robert A. 4, Frederick 3, William 2, William 1.I'm a part of the Yearwood family that ended up in Jefferson Co., IL.I would be happy to share my files with you if you are interested.Mary
