Hi Heather,
I'm so sorry, I didn't reply back! Yes, I did receive you letter and thank you. I've been really busy with work. I work 2 jobs. One as a graphic designer at a college (fulltime) and the other at a Nursery called Rogers Gardens. They have a home decor shop there also and I work there on the weekends. They have a website, www.rogersgardens.com.
I use to be so good about replying to letters and emails. I hate that life seems to become so busy.
Which one of the women is Ethal? The one towards the middle actually looks like my mom did when she was younger. But, the other kind of looks like my grandfather (long face).
I have this little phone book that my grandmother wrote everything in. It says that my grandfather (Roy Yelland) was born March 5, 1905 and he died March 24, 1988. I guess that means she left her family when my grandfather was 12. And Verna was born March21, 1909. Her married name was Lowe. There is (was?) Harrry, Ann and Norman.
The thing thay does'nt make sense about this photo is that these women look awefully young. Where by my calculations ethal would be in her 60's or 70's by 1941. What do you think?
Do you mind me asking your age? I am 45. I'm just courious that's all.
Again, I apologize for the delay. Sometimes I need a reminder.
I enjoy this project of unlocking the past and figuring out the family tree.
I hop e to hear from you again.
Margo
