Nice to meet you.Have you done a lot of research on this family?Do you know anything about Elizabeth Jane Yerby?I have been researching about 4 years on different avenues of families. In October, we were in Arkansas, stopped in Prescott, found the Moscow cemetery, found John's headstone, broken in 3 pieces. We took pictures, both with the pieces put back together but then with two greenwood boards and wire with twist bolts to hold it all together.Big concern is that the pieces would be lost.I don't know if the headstone could be permanently repaired. Guess I should contact someone either in Hope or Gurdon and see if there is someone who could repair it permanently. I am sure Ann Hassell is also buried there but no marker. The church on the grounds of the cemetery has been abandoned, the windows broken. What a shame. Have found another Yerby-Rogers cousin who lives in Georgia. She was at the cemetery in Gurdon a couple of weeks before I was.Another cousin located in Pine Bluff happened to see her while she was there, got her name and phone #.
Would love to hear from you.You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.Thanks for your response.
