I don't believe this!! I just found this site last night, and had to get off my computer due to an electrical storm. I just now went into my history to pull it up and the very first YOCUM I click on is your post!! Must be providence! I ordered "The Lives and Legands of the Ozark Yoakums" by Audrey Becker because my father's great aunt was a GIBSON and married a YOCUM. Also my great-great grandparents were Joseph and Sarah CAMRON WADKINS who raised Michael YOCUM's son Joseph. I simply love the book!! It is so well written, is huge!! Much larger than I expected and has so many pages of photocopies of photographs and documents that it is amazing!! Kudos to Ms. Becker for doing a wonderful job. I find myself imagining I am with the person whose history I am reading about, deep in the Ozark woods and hills. I have visited that area of MO and ARKANSAS several times over the years and still have relatives in the Berryville, Ark. area that we "found" in 1954. Beautiful country and it isn't hard to imagine oneself back in those days, breaking trails, living with the Indians, and raising a family. I haven't had time to look for errors or misspellings, as I am far too absorbed in reading about some of my ancestors. I would encourage everyone who has any connection to the Ozark YOCUMS (various spellings) to get it!
