Wm. Yoder death, Wayne, Ill., family, 1900
St. Charles (Illinois) Chronicle, Oct. 4, 1901, page 1 -- Here and There. The body of William Yodder, a well known resident of Wayne, was found beside the B. and O. railroad track near Tiffin, Ohio Friday. His body had not been run over nor were there any signs of violence. It is thought heart disease was the cause of death. The sad news reached the bereaved family at Wayne by telegraph. Mr. Yodder was a civil engineer by profession and while his home was in Wayne, business called him frequently away. He was at work in Ohio when overtaken by death. His wife was formerly May Dunham.
