Interesting parallels to the line I have.

James Thorne Youmans (Rev., b.1825, d. 1908, m.1845 to Catherine Dolly Layman b.1829, d.1911) is son of Levi Youmans (b.Jun. 10, 1792) and Esther Thorn (b.1796).
Levi is son of Anthony Youmans, Jr. (b.1769) and Lydia Gurney (b.1771).
Anthony Jr. is son of Anthony Youmans, Sr. b.1727 and _??_ Van Winkle.
Anthony Sr. is son of Samuel Youmans (b.1700, d.1797) and Elizabeth Steenback.
Samuel is son of Solomon Youmans (b.1667 or 1670, d.after 1720) and Susanna _??_.
Solomon is son of the original US settler in the line, Christopher Youmans (b.approx 1638, d. after 1721) and his wife, Hanna(h?) (b. about 1638)
I have found many confusing issues with the Samuel-Anthony-Levi-James lines. This same chain is repeated elsewhere in other lines, with different dates.
There is a James L Youmans living in the same small NY town as my James T above, which has caused further confusion for some investigators. These lines have been incorrectly merged in other chains.
I know this line above is true, as it was documented by my great-great grandfather, the Rev. Adelbert C. Youmans - son of Rev. James Thorne Youmans.
