Seeking info on William Crooks Younkins 1860's
I am seeking information on my ancestor William Crooks Younkins, married to Elizabeth. He was born around 1842 and was in Company L of the 14th Pennsylvania Cavalry in the Civil War.He was a volunteer from Terentum, PA.I am in possession of several letters he wrote during the Civil War to his wife addressed to Slate Lick, PA.I have not yet finished transcribing them.
One of their children was Sadie Belle Younkins born January 11, 1868; died June 24, 1961.She married James Adams Clark. He also mentions a child Annie in a letter.
He mentions a brother John--although not clear whether it's his brother or his wife's.
He also mentions meeting a second cousin named Daniel Cris Younkins at one encampment.
